Welcome to Lena Gardens Primary School

Governance at GGL Federation (Greenside, Griffin & Lena Gardens)

We are delighted that from 1st September Greenside, Griffin and Lena Gardens are now working in partnership as the newly created GGL Federation. This follows the conversion of Griffin to join The Elliot Foundation on 1st August this year. We will have one Local Governing Body (LGB) providing governance across the 3 Academies and a new structure is being set up.

The 1st meeting will take place on Monday 11th September. We will then update all our information on individual Governors and all matters relating to Governance. Meanwhile all 3 Academies will be working to the policies and practice of TEF which are available on individual Academy websites and via TEF website (www.elliotfoundation.co.uk).

The Chair of the new GGL Federation Local Governing Body will be Jem Shuttleworth. Jem will be attending Parent/ Carer Update meetings as follows:
Tuesday 12th September 9.00am Griffin
Wednesday 13th September 9.00am
Lena Gardens Thursday 14th September 9.00am Greenside

Meanwhile if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Jem can be reached on: jem.shuttleworth@elliotfoundation.co.uk Karen Bastick-Styles - Executive Head - GGL Federation - (Greenside, Griffin & Lena Gardens)

Lena Gardens Vision Statement

At Lena Gardens Primary School, we believe that all pupils can learn to their fullest potential. Pupils will develop confidence, resilience and ambition by being actively engaged in a relevant, exciting, broad and challenging curriculum. A continuous commitment to improvement ensures that our pupils build on their reflective skills, developing resilience and a can-do attitude as lifelong learners, who are well rounded and self-directed. Each pupil will be treated respectfully as an individual as well as being taught the value of community and team work, knowing that they have valuable contributions to make. It is within this that we ask parents, families, adults and the community to share in our vision and to promote high expectations and aspirations.
